Portraits of a Little Woman by Maria May Alcott

These books are so cool there is one for each of the girls from Little woman the classic but these books make them so much more interesting I really love these.  Each one takes one of the girls and all of her adventures and experiences from the book and makes it book that focuses mainly on her. These are definetely a most read great for 8+

The Sierra Jensen Series by Robin Jones Gunn

I love this series and have almost finished the last book. These are about a fourteen year old girl and all her adventures after her and her family have to move in with their grandmother in her house. This series is Christian and completely appropriate.  I definitely recommend these for 11+.

Sisters in Time Series

I really like the Sisters in Time Series because each focuses on a different time era and what it was like to live in that era through the eyes of a young girl. They are really interesting and you do learn a lot about history. These are one of my favorites and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Great for 8+.

Dear America Books ( Various Authors)

The Dear America series is a great series, each book focuses on a different time era and is in a diary form I have not read them all but the ones I have I have really enjoyed they really teach you a lot about history but at the same time intriguing and fun. There are so many and a series that is especially designed for boys called I am America (if you can get them to read them ) =).  There is also another series put out by the Dear America called The Royal Diaries (Pictured Above). These books are great and I really enjoyed them and reccomend them for 10+.

Ramona and Beezus by Beverly Cleary

These books are my favorite books ever they are absolutely hysterical I love these books and own the whole series twice. I think these are great books for all ages they are completely appropriate and are just so fun. They did make a movie based on the books and definetely do not like the moveie at ALL they completely changed and made it all boyfriend - girlfriend which I don't exactly get into. I really like these books and they are great for all ages.  P.S. The top picture is the cover of the movie.
